I hope everyone has had some fun since we last caught up. I have been on reading week and thoroughly enjoying my time off. I spent the first half of the week skiing in Banff and the back half in Vancouver, primarily binge watching Gossip Girl (binge watching may just be my greatest skill yet). I had another wonderful show at the Railway Stage and Bar. The crowd was absolutely incredible (as per usual) and I can't wait to go back. I got to play alongside the talented Whitney Rose and Dave Hartney (they are linked below).
As for Banff? If I could live on the mountain I would. 10/10 would recommend if you want to ski somewhere in Canada. But save yourself the pain and layer up because even though the pictures looked smiley, I can guarantee that I froze my butt off. Having said that is was 2000% worth it.
Also, I just filmed another fantastic video with Eric Brunt, you can find it on YouTube, Instagram and the "music" section of my website. I hope you all like, because I'm overjoyed!
And in terms of upcoming things, I have a show at the Roxy in Vancouver on March 15th. Hoping to see both new and familiar faces! Also, starting to think about what summer projects I'm taking on, and maybe I'll let a few slip in the next little bit. So, eyes and ears open ladies and gentlemen, or you might just miss it.
From me, with love, to you,
Welcome to my blog. This is going to be a space where I share thoughts, opinions, feelings, and stories. It is going to give me the opportunity to get into things a bit more in depth, and hopefully you will get to know me a bit better. With that said, lets jump in.
This week brought a whole mess of exciting things. I had my first Vancouver show at The Railway Stage on Friday night. The audience was fantastic! Every time I perform I am reminded of how much I love what I do. I want to thank the venue, thank the people who came out to support me and the amazing women I performed with. I linked Kaylan and Sammi's websites down below; they're amazing artists so go check them out. With fingers crossed I'm looking into more venues in and around Vancouver so hopefully I'll be popping up more often.
Also, a UBC paper, Dive into UBC, wrote an "Artist Spotlight" on me, featuring my music and giving an update on my plans for the next little bit. If you want to know even more about me and what I'm up to, I've linked the article down below.
I've finally started to get my feet back under me in terms of writing after taking a break to work on The Blue Book Project (my debut album, go check it out if out!). There is something so relaxing getting what's in my head down on paper. I've got some new songs written and can't wait to share them with you. Get excited :)
Plus check out the rest of my website for new music and fun pics! Thank you for your patience as I get this sorted out. Hopefully this is a pretty good hub to keep everyone connected.
That's all for now.
From me, with love, to you,
